Ingleside Terrace is an affluent residential neighborhood in the southwestern part of San Francisco, California. It is built near the popular Ingleside Inn and on the site of the old Ingleside Horseracing Track, with sweeping views of Merced Lakes and the Pacific Ocean. Used for temporary housing following the 1906 earthquake, the neighborhood was soon transformed into a suburban-like community of detached single-family homes by 1912. Today, it is a diverse community of well-tended homes and gardens, with Urbano Drive tracing the original layout of the racetrack. Ingleside is much quieter than the downtown parts of San Francisco but is better for families overall with the neighborhood's slower pace of living. A great mix of urban and residential and lots of restaurants and parks!
